Marianne A. Kinzer

Marianne A. Kinzer, 65 Sprague street, studio #2

Water connects us all. Nothing can live without it. Its nature is flow, thereby connecting the individual to the whole.

In her watercolor paintings, Marianne A. Kinzer explores how water shapes our surroundings and our bodies.

Her watercolor paintings are playful.  She paints multilayered abstractions of the drop in various stages of falling, and finds similarities with shapes and forms in nature, such as seeds, wombs, jellyfish, trees, bushes, and brains.  Flow-patterns can be found in landscapes, plants, trees, and even in bones.

Marianne A. Kinzer is a German-born artist.  She has exhibited her work in galleries and public spaces on three continents.  She now lives and works in Boston and on Cape Cod.
